This book is a huge help. It shows info on tons of plants and whether they are good for nectar, pollen, and even honeydew. It has large, black and white photos of some of the plants. It also incudes info on the best beekeeping locations in the U.S. I have been looking for another source of this kind of info everywhere, and I have found nothing that even comes close! Knowing what plants are valuable for beekeeping can make or break your honey crop, and I am glad that I have this book to guide me. Any beekeeper could greatly benefit from having this book!

Review:  I am an apprenticing beekeeper, and while it's essential to get hands on experience, it's equally if not more important to have a compendium of experience, which is what one gets with this amazing book. Simply put it is the Beekeepers Bible! All told it contains centuries upon centuries of acquired apiary and labratory wisdom as well as a history of beekeeping. The book is filled with beautiful photographs and also contains some of the best illustrations of bee anatomy and morphology. My "little honeys" are sure to benefit from a careful persual of this most comprehensive encyclopedic book!

Review: This is an excellent book for beginning beekeepers. When I started beekeeping this year, I ended up with 4 different books. This has prevailed as my favorite. Why? The book is broken up nicely and has plenty of photos to help explain what it is describing. I would buy this book and "The Hive and The Honey Bee". If this is the only book you buy, you will never regret buying this book
