How many pounds of honey can I expect to get off my hive?

It depends!  If it is a new colony with new frames you might not get much honey the first year.  You need to leave enough honey for the bees to over-winter.  If it is an existing colony which has over-wintered, you are likely to get more honey.

With an existing hive the bees already have foundation drawn out and can beginning fill it with nectar right away.  Also, where do you live?  Is there a long growing season with good honey plays blooming all season?  So how much honey really?  The first year zero to 100 pounds, maybe more if the stars are aligned.

For an existing colony 60 to 400 pounds, again if everything is just right.  Of course, these are just averages and can fluctuate either way, but usually down.
