It is best to only leave the triangle escape board for only 24 hours. For the escape board to work properly, any cracks or holes that are above the board must be sealed. The bees can use these as entrances and bypass the escape boards. The boards work best if there is no brood above the escape boards. The nurse bees usually won't leave the brood.
